Understanding The Team Section Of Your Dashboard

Understanding the Team Section of Your Dashboard

Whether you're onboarding a new remote worker, recognizing someone’s hard work, or taking a break from a contract, the Team section is where you’ll go.

Let’s walk through each part of this section so you can manage your team with clarity and ease.

Navigating the Team Tab

Once you log in and head to the Team tab on your dashboard, you’ll notice two primary views:

1. Active Team Members

This shows everyone currently working with you. You’ll see their:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Status (active/inactive)

2. Inactive Team Members

This section includes remote workers who have worked with you in the past, but you’ve removed them from your team.

Think of it as your digital team history—great for reference or if you ever want to re-hire someone without starting from scratch.

Assign Bonuses

Want to reward someone for a job well done?

  1. Find the team member you want to reward.

  2. Click the three dots (⋯) next to their name.

  3. Click “Give Bonus” and enter the amount and a short note (optional but always appreciated!).

This bonus will be added to their next payout.

View hours worked

Need to check how many hours your remote worker has logged this week (or last week, or the one before that)? It’s super simple.

If you're ever curious about how much time someone on your team has spent working—or you just want to double-check that tasks are aligned with hours—here’s how to find it in a few clicks:

Find the team member whose hours you want to review.

Click the three dots (⋯) next to their name.

Select “View Hours Worked.”

This will take you straight to their work logs, where can:

See total hours or billable amounts for a selected date range

Toggle between Hours View and Billable Amount View

View a daily breakdown of time or charges

No digging around or switching tabs. It’s all right there so you can stay informed, spot trends, and celebrate efficiency—or catch issues early if needed.

✨ Quick tip: It’s a good habit to review work logs weekly. It helps you stay aligned with your remote worker, give relevant feedback, and catch scope creep before it snowballs.

Manage Team Status

Need to end a work relationship?

  • In the Active tab, locate the remote worker you want to end your engagement with.

  • Click the three dots (⋯) next to their name to open the options menu.

  • Select Remove From Team.

Changes will reflect immediately, and you’ll still be able to view past data under the Inactive tab.

Important: We strongly encourage you to talk with your remote worker first if you are experiencing any issues or concerns.

Alternatively, if you want to bring back to your team someone who worked with you before but was previously removed:

  • Go to the Inactive tab of the Team section.

  • Search for the worker you want to re-add.

  • Click the three dots (⋯) next to their name.

  • Select Add to team.

Once you confirm, the worker will appear in the Active tab and you’ll be able to assign work to them again.

Message a Team Member Directly

Need to check in with your remote worker or follow up on something? You can message them straight from the Team section without having to dig through your inbox or open another app.

Here’s how:

Look to the far right of your remote worker's row—you’ll see a little chat bubble icon (💬).

Click it, and you’ll be taken directly to your Inbox, with the conversation thread already open for that specific remote worker.

From there, you can type a message, or just check in with a quick “Hey, how’s it going?”—whatever you need!

✨ Why this is helpful:

It saves time—you don’t have to search by name or navigate away from your Team view.

It helps keep all your communication in one place, right inside the platform.

Great for quick messages like asking about a task, confirming hours, or even saying thanks after a job well done.

Your dashboard is designed to make managing your team as smooth as possible—and quick chat access is just one of those small-but-mighty tools that makes everything easier.

Wrapping Up: Managing Your Team with Ease

The Team section of your dashboard is more than just a list of names—it’s your control center for managing your remote workers with clarity and ease. Whether you’re checking work hours, tracking billable time, assigning bonuses, or jumping into a quick chat, everything you need is just a few clicks away.

Remember:

Use the three-dot menu next to any team member’s name to view hours worked, assign bonuses, or update their status.

The Time Tracking page offers a visual breakdown of activity, so you’re never left wondering how time is being spent.

And with the chat, staying in touch with your remote worker is seamless—because communication should be as easy as collaboration.

Managing a remote team doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With the tools in your dashboard, you’ve got everything you need to stay organized, informed, and empowered.
