How to Use the Chat Functionality in Your Dashboard
Guide to starting and managing conversations with your remote worker directly on the platform.
Your dashboard comes with a built-in Chat feature, making it super easy to stay in touch with your remote worker—without needing to switch apps. Whether you're checking in, giving feedback, or sharing quick updates, this tool keeps your communication organized and all in one place.
💬 1. Start a Conversation with Your Remote Worker
To message your worker:
Head to the Chat tab on your dashboard.
Search and select the remote worker you want to chat with.
Type your message and hit Send—just like any regular messaging app.
Your messages will be saved, so you can easily refer back to past conversations whenever you need.
👥 2. Create Group Chats with Multiple Workers
Need to message more than one remote worker at once? You can create a group chat in just a few steps:
Click the “Group” button in the chat panel.
Select the workers you want to include in the group.
Give the group a name (optional, but helpful!).
Start chatting.
This is perfect for team-wide updates, shared projects, or making sure everyone’s on the same page.
📌 A Few Quick Notes
All your chat history stays saved in your dashboard.
Chats are visible only to you and the people included—your conversations stay private.
🔔 3. Chat Notifications by Email
You’ll get an email notification when your remote worker sends you a new chat message—so you never miss anything important, even if you’re not actively logged in.
Want to pause or turn off email chat alerts? You can enable or disable notifications anytime in your Dashboard Settings.
🧠 Pro Tip:
Use chat to clarify expectations, ask for updates, or even just to check in and build a better working relationship. Quick messages can go a long way in helping your remote worker feel supported and stay aligned with your goals.
