How To Give A Bonus To Your Worker

How to Give a Bonus to Your Worker

Step-by-step instructions for rewarding great performance with a bonus.

When your remote worker consistently delivers great work, supports you through a big launch, or simply goes the extra mile, a bonus can be a powerful way to say thank you.

Once you submit a bonus, the worker will receive the payment in their next payment cycle. We will notify them as soon as you make the bonus request, so they know it’s on the way.

Giving a bonus through your client dashboard is simple, secure, and gives you two different ways to do it. Let’s walk through both options in detail:

âś… Option 1: Give a Bonus Through the Time Tracking View

Start by heading to the Time Tracking section in your client dashboard. This is where all logged hours and charges live—and also where you’ll be able to give bonuses.

Find the Right Worker

Scroll through the list of logs, or use the search bar to look for a specific task, project, or worker by name. This helps if you’re managing multiple remote workers.

Click the Three Dots

Once you find the worker you’d like to reward:

  • Look to the right side of the charge or log entry.

  • Click on the three dots (also known as the “more options” menu).

This opens up several options, including the ability to give a bonus.

Select “Give a Bonus”

Click Give a Bonus. A small window will pop up where you can enter the bonus amount you want to send

Review & Confirm

Double-check the details:

  • The correct worker

  • The exact bonus amount

  • Any message you included

When you’re ready, hit Submit.

âś… Option 2: Give a Bonus Through the Teams Section

This is just another way of giving a bonus.

Head to the Teams section in your dashboard

🔹 Method A: Using the "Give Bonus" Button (Top Right Corner)

  1. Head to the Teams section in your dashboard.

  2. Click the “Give Bonus” button at the top-right corner of the view.

  3. Select the worker you want to reward from the dropdown list.

  4. Enter the bonus amount

  5. Review the details to make sure everything looks good.

  6. Click Submit — and you’re done!

🔹 Method B: Using the Three Dots Next to the Worker’s Name

  1. Still in the Teams view, find the specific worker you want to reward.

  2. Click the three dots (⋯) next to their name.

  3. Select “Give Bonus.”

  4. Enter the amount

  5. Submit the bonus once everything’s ready.

📬 That’s it!

Your worker will receive the bonus and a notification, and it will appear in your billing view just like a normal charge. Bonus amounts are billed to your card on file.

🔍 Pro Tips:

  • Bonuses are totally optional – but they can go a long way in building loyalty and motivation.

  • You can give a bonus anytime, not just after a specific time log.

Whether it’s $10 or $100, your gesture matters. A bonus tells your worker: “Hey, I see your effort—and I appreciate it.”
